<p> 杜聪出生于上海的一个音乐家庭，十岁开始师从赵佐通、戴金声学习笛子演奏，初中毕业后入上海音乐学院附中，后升入本科民乐系，深得笛子大师陆春龄、赵松庭的悉心指导，巩固了全面的演奏技术，形成了自己独特的艺术风格。1985年杜聪入上海民乐团担任独奏演员，多次随团出访东南亚及欧美。他精通笛、箫、埙、口笛、巴乌、葫芦丝、排箫等多种吹管乐器的演奏，亦涉足西乐和新音乐的表现，有“上海青年第一笛”、“东南亚第一排箫”的美喻。 <p> DU Chong <p> DU Chong was born in a musical family. His parents are music teachers. He was natured by music when he was a small child, and started learning dizi under ZHAO Zuo-tong and DAI Jin-sheng at the age of ten. After his junior secondary studies, he was accepted by the attached Secondary School of the Shanghai Conservatory of music. He then studied under the two acknowledged masters, LU Chun-ling and ZHAO Song-ting. Under their training, he fully mastered dizi techniques and had good command of styles both of the Southern and Northern Dizi Schools. After his graduation, he joined the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra and became a soloist. With the orchestra, he made concert tours to the west and Hong Kong, and was greatly admired by the audience. In 1986, he won a prize in the Shanghai Youth Cultural Presentation and was given the title "The Best Young Dizi Player in Shanghai" DU Chong has a good grasp of Dizi techniques. and is a master of many wind instruments. He can take charge of Dizi, Xiao, Bawu, Hulusi. Xun and Pai-xiao. He is really a young original performer of great talent. The CD titled "Spring Orchid" he recorded for HUGO was highly acclaimed by critics and was on the "Top Ten CD Chart" of May,1989 by Radio Hong Kong. <p>
